Our services

Sessions are 50 minutes, and your teen and I set the pace together. No number of sessions is promised.

  • Teen therapy

One to one with your teen, 50 minutes. Your teen chooses what we talk about, and we build skills for the week ahead. This is not a place where your teen is told what is wrong with them, and what they say stays between us, with the limits explained at the start.

    • Weekly 50-minute sessions

    • Cognitive behavioral skills

    • Your teen sets the pace

    • Video option for teens in California

  • Parent meetings

Time for you alone, to say what worries you, to learn what can help at home and to hear how things are going. This is not a report of what your teen has said. It is a chance to be a steadier parent, with support.

    • A first meeting for parents alone

    • Brief check-ins every few weeks

    • Ideas to try at home

    • Questions answered in plain words

A couple holding hands sit at a table and listen to someone off camera
  • Family sessions

Sessions with your teen and the people at home, when talking together would help more than talking apart. We use them only when your teen is ready, and never to force a conversation.

    • Agreed with your teen first

    • Clear ground rules for the room

    • Practice at listening and asking

    • Fewer, planned sessions

  • Anxiety and school stress

For teens who are worn down by worry, school pressure or sleep that has gone off track. We practice cognitive behavioral skills, which are taught step by step, and we start with the skill that suits your teen.

    • Skills for sleep and school mornings

    • Facing hard things in small steps
